Q: Everyone in Vancouver has heard of Homecoming, what would you say has been the biggest factor in making your business so successful?
A: We’d love for everyone in Vancouver to know Homecoming, but I don’t know if we’re quite there yet. That said, doing a ton of markets definitely seemed to help get our name out there at the beginning. To me, markets are not just about selling products, it’s about getting yourself in front of people, and more importantly, like-minded people that share similar values about the products they bring into their homes.
Q: What have you found to be the most rewarding aspect of running Homecoming?
A: I’d say being creative and having the freedom to choose how we work day-to-day. Being an entrepreneur often means working more than you would at a 9-5, but having the option to structure our work in a way that best suits our personalities gives us the space and clarity to stay inspired and keep trying new things.
Q: If you had to pick a favourite flower, what would it be and why?
A: Tulips because they always remind us that sunny days are just around the corner!
